Class 1
Warm up: What
do you do every morning? The kids will
answer in Spanish and get some pieces of vocabulary.
Activity 1: Reading
Children see
this image proyected on a white board. They underline the words we don't know
to look for their meaning. We copy them on a word document.
Activity 2: We guess the meaning of some words by context.
After that, we look up on an online dictionary the ones that we can't guess and
write them to add it to our virtual portfolio.
Activity 3: Listening (production)
The
children will have a GoogleDoc Form with the lyrics of a song which is missing
some words. We listen to the song called "Wake up!". After that, the
students complete the form presented in Google docs with the missing words and
submit it to be corrected by the teacher after class. In some exercises they
choose the correct word and in other ones they write down the words.

form:
The Complete Song:
I wake up
I wash my face
This is what I do when I wake up in the morning
I brush my teeth
I comb my hair
I eat breakfast
I go to school
I wake up
I wash my face
I brush my teeth
I comb my hair
I eat breakfast
I go to school
Activity 4: Speaking (Repeating)
We stand
aside our desks and we sing to "Wake Up" while the video is projected
on the board so everyone could see it. Clic the Image to see the video!
Activity 6: Speaking (Production)
What we
have seen is what we do in a normal school day, but what do we do on weekends?
The students describe their activities using the verbs learnt. Said dialogs are
recorded on Audacity. The audio will be used to listen and correct pronunciation,
word use and other minor mistakes.
Activity 5: Writting
We use
ToonDoo to create a very simple comic in which we describe our daily routine in
the morning using the vocabulary we learnt.
Thanks a
lot for watching.
